At The Holiday Inn at Sandiacre, Nottingham a Dinner was held in September which had been arranged for John Boulger's visit to England and we had 43 attend (not all riders) and John was really pleased to meet up with old friends from both Leicester and Long Eaton. A few days later the Leicester Supporters Club held their annual re-union, with John as Guest of Honour and there were around 200 people attending, along with a display of old speedway machines. Most conversations began with "Do you remember.........?" or "Have you seen.................recently" and quite a number of races were re- ridden and events discussed.
