An Introduction to Friends
of Speedway Friends of Speedway is an unofficial national
supporters’ club, run by fans, for fans. We produce a quarterly
publication, the Voice, which
is compiled by contributors with no obligation towards anything other
than our favourite sport. This, of course, means that articles are not
always that complimentary. We regularly contact the press and badger them for more
coverage of speedway racing, with some notable success and were the
force behind the awarding of an MBE to former world champion Peter
Collins. Our activities are solely aimed at benefiting the sport
and we are strictly a non-profit making organisation. Our membership fee
includes four issues of the Voice,
which is fast becoming a collectors’ item. Any surplus income is
ploughed back into speedway racing in one form or another. To become a member and receive your associated editions
