It is easy to get between the centre of London and London City Airport, as the airport is situated only 10 miles (16km's) from the West End (the shopping and political district), six miles (10km's) from the City of London (the financial district) and three miles (5km's) from Canary Wharf (London's newest business and financial centre).
TRAVELLING TO/ FROM THE AIRPORT FROM OUTSIDE LONDON
If you are travelling to London City Airport from outside London you may wish to note that both Waterloo and London Bridge (when
traveling from the south) and Stratford (when travelling from the east), all connect to the Jubilee Line.
Simply take the Jubilee Line from one of these stations to Canning Town, where you connect with the airport's green shuttle bus. Journey time is just five minutes from Canning Town to the airport and the bus runs at 10 minute intervals. The shuttlebus costs £3 for adults and £1 for children.
Silverlink Metro
If you are travelling from outside central London to the airport you may wish to consider the Silverlink Metro from destinations such as Richmond, Highbury & Islington, Camden Road or West Hamstead. At Canning Town you can connect with the airport's green shuttle bus. Journey time is just five minutes to the airport and the bus runs at 10 minute intervals. The shuttlebus costs £3 for adults and £1 for children.
